Introduction

ARK 280 is a high chromium (greater than 41% by weight) anti-high temperature oxidation, corrosion, and wear resistant coating. The thermal shock performance of the coating is good at 700°C and 900°C. The high temperature oxidation rate after oxidation at 800°C for 240 hours is 0.034 times that of the low carbon steel substrate, and the coating has good anti-oxidation properties.

Main features

  • High chromium content
  • Oxidation resistant at high temperatures
  • Good erosion wear resistance
  • Good thermal shock resistance
  • The oxide content in the coating is low

Typical applications

  • Boiler tubes for pulverized coal-fired boilers and waste incinerators against high temperature oxidation, hot corrosion and erosion wear
  • Steel converters, hoods and flue ducts
